Kitty stutter….~

Children's Sessions

October 1st, 2008

A teacher is explaining biology to her 4th grade students. “Human Beings are the only animals that stutter”, she says.

A little girl raises her hand. “I had a kitty-cat who stuttered.”

The teacher, knowing how precious some of these stories could become, asked the girl to describe the incident.

“well”, she began, “I was in the back yard with my kitty and the Rottweiler that lives next door got a running start and before we knew it, he jumped over the fence into our yard!”

“That must have been very scary.” said the teacher.

“It sure was”, said the little girl. “My kitty raised his back, went Sssss, Ssssss, Sssss, and before he could say Shit, the Rottweiler ate him!!”

The teacher could not help laughing. :)

Ok…it is not a true story…just a joke! hee hee! I thought it was pretty funny though!

Here is a fun little girl!!! I love all the little faces she made! And she looked very very cute on my little red chair! :)

smiles… Melissa.

Senior Sessions

September 30th, 2008

What a lovely girl….her hair is super long and her eyes are absolutely stunning!!! I used to look exactly like her!! just kiddin…I only wish!!

We had such a good time…at least I know I did!! ….we traveled to UL and played around in the dugouts!! It was totally her idea!! and I loved it!!

The lighting was great…mysterious and dark! PERFECT!

We had to be quiet because the guys were doing “try outs” on the baseball field.  Jessica came with us and totally got us in….she’s got the “hook up”! ;) yay, jess!!

The other shots were done at Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau! I just love that old barn. But the mosquitos were ALMOST unbearable!! She was such a trooper though!!

I like this pic alot!! I guess I like the grass in the foreground….is that a word?? foreground. hmm.

When we were done at Sacred Heart, I had this great idea to stop by the studio and grab my wonderful red chair and put it in a grassy field right behind the studio….well….the mosquitos were sooooo bad I could not even shoot! It was horrible…but she sat in the red chair and tried her very best to pose even though she was getting bit so bad by mosquitos!! It was a bad idea! although it would have been great minus the bugs!! Oh well…no red chair this time! dang it!

To be Needed….~

Children's Sessions, Personal

August 29th, 2008

to be needed is the best feeling in the world!!! even when we don’t really feel like being “needed”!! it seems to lift us up and makes up rise to the occassion…whatever that may be.

I try to be there for my little babies (who are not babies anymore…blah!) Rielly and I were up later than usual last night working on a cute little project for school. It turned out really darlin and Rielly was so excited!! This morning was kinda hectic because we were tired…but we managed to all load up and get to school on time! yay! I thought..whew!! Then I realized that we forgot Rielly’s class project at home! Crap! So I rushed home (doing the speed limit ;) and swooped up the project (and a red bull hee hee) and took it straight to school. As I approached her classroom, the door was open and I could see her sitting at her desk. She looked up and her eyes caught mine…her face lit up like a Christmas tree!!! Her teacher said Rielly had been super worried because she forgot her project at home! But I, mommy super hero, saved the day!! It wasn’t a huge task or anything like that…but to Rielly it was EVERYTHING at that moment!! And I am soo very happy that I can be “that” person for my little people!!

These images were done at the Wolfe Building!!!

and always…

SMILE!!!  ;)
