Congrats to Michelle Thibodeaux!!!!  she won a fabulous (said in my game show host voice) Mommy & Me Mini Session AND a beautiful 11×14 of her choice from the session. yay Michellle!!! (Applause here) Not only did she enter this darling little photo, she also wrote this….

“He’s my first and only child, and he’s the joy and meaning of my whole life. I could never express how much I love him, but I think his face in this picture expresses how much he loves me. In this picture we are having lunch in and I stopped to take his picture outside while we were waiting for a table. My sister took the camera and said, you get in the picture for once. I love to look at this picture and imagine how he is saying “I love you” with his eyes closed and his mouth wide open.  I know it’s a bit of a “soap opera” style kiss (that’s what we call it, the open mouth kiss), but it’s the best thing in the world to me when he leans over with his mouth open and his eyes closed.  Being a mom is the MOST amazing thing that has ever happened to me. And capturing all of his memories and moments in pictures is the only thing I can do to cherish each and every second he is the age he is. I never want him to grow up, although I enjoy each and every new month and the new things he brings as he grows.”

Isn’t she adorable!!!! LOVED it! I am such a sucker when it comes to how much a mommy loves her baby! There is nothing else like it in the world!!

I also wanted to thank everyone that entered the contest! It was super hard to choose! All the pics were adorable! We hope to do this again….and give everyone more time to prepare!

Mommies are sooo very special! Everyone knows this…but it is not always shown in family photos! Mom is usually the one behind the camera, clicking away. Sooooo, when you look back at photos and/or home video, you never really see mommy!! We say….what a shame! As moms, we should demand face time with the camera…give that point and shoot to daddy and make him take some lovely pics of  you and the kiddos! You will be so very glad you did!

Well….on this Mother’s Day, we want to give a little gift….but you have to do something to earn the gift! hee hee!!

WE ARE GIVING AWAY A “MOMMY & ME” MINI SESSION!!!!

All you have to do is……..on Mother’s day (sunday), give that camera to daddy (or whoever will grab it) and tell them to snap a few shots of you and your little one!  Then just email us one of the photos! (Email at Melissa@MelissaAndriesPhotography.com )  Get creative….be sweet…be candid….be silly!!!! Just make sure to be yourself!!! Those are the greatest pics of all!!  We will be looking for something that is a little “outside the box”….don’t ask what that means…just use your imagination!! Let us know what you did special for Mother’s day….. I also would love to hear why you LOVE being a mommy! Or even something cute about your sweet angel!
