oh my goodness! where is the MUTE button!!~

Children's Sessions, Personal

January 19th, 2009

my recliner is connected to my husband’s recliner…this is where we watch tv at night.  As much as I love “tv time” with my man (I know some of you ladies can relate to this), he drives me insane with changing the channel…talking back to the tv…watching 2 shows at once…steals my tv snack that I went all the way to the kitchen to get…among other various things. We have two completely different ideas of “GOOD TV”.  I love Lipstick Jungle, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, and Bachelor…all those worthless shows with absolutely no moral value whatsoever…that is how I relax! I let my mind just be mush.  Now him….he thoroughly enjoys those political shows where they debate a topic to no end and they just argue to hear themselves speak, animal shows, Bear Grylls (however you spell his name), anything about JFK’s life and history and death, war history shows, nature shows….blah blah blah. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good “real” show every now and then, but for the most part, I just want some dumb tv. It is my escape to the non-real.

What am I going to do about these differences?? Nothing.  Why?? I know this is just how men and women co-exist together. How do I know this?? Because I seen it on one of those shows he watches!!!  ;)

on another note…. here are some adorable pics of children that are close to my heart!! I was so excited to do this session!! This is my husband’s brother’s kids (did you follow that??) Their mommy…Katy just let me do whatever I wanted to. She is an artist, she paints and is very crafty…so of course, I was nervous if she was gonna love her pics or not! She called me today and said that she loves loves the portraits and is painting her little girl’s room just to go with the images she choose for her! I can’t wait to see the framed, hung, finished product!! So many colors!! I love it!! Thanks Katy for letting me photograph your babies!! Love you guys!!

we printed this image very large for baby girl’s room!! awesome!!

you see all that hair?? that beautiful long hair?? just about a week after this session, she cut about 6 inches off her own hair!!!  although it is still quite long…mommy was very glad we did the session already!!

those blue eyes are killer!!

look at that smile!!! gotta love it!

well….that is all for now! I hope to get on a nice little “once a week” blog schedule….fingers crossed!

smile!

I hope you don’t mind that I occasionally drop in on your website. Your pictures are so inspiring. I really wish I lived close to you so I could take some photography classes. Thanks for being so amazingly good at what you do!

I am so in love with these pictures. Thank you so much. We had so much fun. You trully captured each one of their personalities perfectly. You can tell they absolutely adore you, by the way they look through the lens. You made them feel so special during the session.
