Let’s play catch up!!~

Children's Sessions, Studio News

October 31st, 2008

Sorry for the non-blogging! But this is Christmas season and we are busy little elves right now!! I am having so much fun photographing all the lovely, cute, precious kiddos on our list! And we are planning the new year! And we are working on our new Barn Studio!! And this and that!!

Jessica is working on our very first e-newsletter…so if we have your email address WATCH OUT FOR THAT!! If you want to be added to the email list for updates and such..then just email Jessica at Jessica@MelissaAndriesPhotography.com! Tell her Melissa sent ya!! hee hee!

Here are some pics from sessions that have not been blogged yet! There are loads more to come! And if you notice there is a little something different on my posted images! Sorry about the big “M…do not copy” but I am sad to say that with this wonderfully digital age it must be way too tempting to steal pics from the blog.  I am seeing alot of download activity on several pics that I posted….sooooo that is why there is a big ole M across the faces! :(

look at this wonderful little face!! he posed for me during the entire session! I thought maybe he was a little model baby or something! He just smiled and smiled…really big smiles! Mommy said he smiles all the time!  I believe it!!

Talk about a FUN session! These guys were a blast! I was allowed to play with horses and kids and an old barn! This old barn was on their property which seemed perfect for the background! Horses….cowboy hats…big belt buckles…and kids….you just can’t beat that combination!! ;)

Need I say more??  Her face says it all.  What a little firecracker! I adore this little girl! I believe she will always know exactly what she wants and will be strong enough to make it happen!! You go girl!!

…and this little man is a true cowboy….thru and thru!! He just seemed so natural up there on that horse! Made me feel like such a weenie because I am scared of horses! They are just so big and tall and they snort on you! ugh!

….and then we have Miss Princess here! Those blue eyes were just absolutely lovely! And the blue dress just made them shine even more so! Way to go mom!!

This is little family was sweet sweet!! And you just can’t go wrong when everyone in the family is BEAUTIFUL!!

my fav pic of Miss Priss!! I have to tell this little story….when her and mommy came in to view their pics….she saw herself on the screen and her little chin started to quiver…..she started to cry a little! I just thought that was sooo cute! I know a crying baby is not considered cute….but the reason she was crying was just unusual! I though it was precious! Oh, by the way….just want to say hi to “sheepy” !!

….and now for another darlin’ little family! I just love love the couples with their first sweet baby! It is sooo cute to see them have everything just perfect. I actually remember when I was like that! Then I had another baby and another and another…by the fourth child they are lucky to get supper!! hee hee! just kidding! I really do feed my babies! They just are bigger now!

…could a family really LOOK more perfect?? I mean really!

the oh so sweet daddy and daughter pic! Why is that when you see a pic of a daddy and their daughter it is just the sweetest thing EVER?? It just makes your heart melt!!

….soo sweet and gorgeous! Mommy and baby are both little dolls!!

see what I mean! isn’t she flippin precious! She looks great in white!! ;)

Well…that is it for now! whew! I really do have more to come! Not quite sure when I will be able to blog again but I will as soon as I can! I promise! I will be doing more pics of the barn soon to show you guys what is going on there! I am getting very excited! We are looking for some new special items to go in the barn that will be used for sessions! FUN stuff!

anyways…have a happy halloween and be safe!

smiles….Melissa ;)

October 17th, 2008

That is right!!! It is now in the works!! As some of you already know… there is a wonderful old barn on the street behind the Studio that I love love love to use during my sessions! Well…we now have the oppurtunity to make this barn into our Studio!! I just could not be more excited! Soooo….we won’t be moving far but our studio space will be very very interesting to say the least! Not quite sure when it will be ready to move in but just stay posted…we will continue to put up pictures during the complete process!! yay!

Here are some shots of the barn…as it is right now!

This barn was built in the 1800s and is one of the oldest structures in Grand Coteau, LA  =)

Look at that old cypress!!! so pretty!

I will even have a nice little grassy field for creative purposes!!! (wink wink)

this is the back barn….yes…we will have 2 barns!! the possibilities are just endless!!

More later!!!

I am completely infatuated with Michael Buble’…even more so now than ever!!  He is just DREAMY! and I don’t use that term much! I went to see him in concert on Tuesday night and the show was incredible! I knew I would like the music because I ADORE his voice but he is even funny too!! Soooo….he is beautiful…funny….talented…rich ;) …and sexy as hell!!!  With all that he must be sweet too, right? haha!!

here are some pics from the concert!

One more thing….I have to say thanks to my husband for getting me such wonderful seats at the concert! AND…no one really does measure up to you baby!! Not even Buble’!!! ;)

We had a nice little Sunday….friends over…playing in the yard…boiling shrimp…wine ;)

Here is Reid and all his attitude.

This is what Reid wore most of the day….dirt bike pj pants and a pj top! Does that make me a bad mommy?? He loves wearing his pj’s all day!

Rielly and her many faces. Gotta love that girl!

my kids….always no shoes! always!! look at those wonderfully dirty feet!!

Hubby and Ried…riding the razor!! Yes, my back yard is beginning to look like a dirt track! That’s ok, though, look at that smile on Reid’s face! Isn’t that what it’s all about!!

And here is the crew!!!  Rielly and Morgan (rielly’s bff) jumped on the razor for a spin! I really do have other children…they just don’t like for me to take pics of them anymore! They are getting “too old”!! WHATEVER!!

mmmm….mmmm….yummy shrimp!!

some lovely pinot gris! beautiful weather! boiled shrimp! friends and family! how wonderful!

a pretty candle. ok. i know….it is just a candle. :)

Senior Sessions

October 3rd, 2008

This lovely young lady was a natural in front of the camera. She said she was nervous but I couldn’t tell.  I love this pic because of course it is a little funky!! yay!

See what I mean…does she look nervous to you?? I don’t think so! These are fun little shots we did at Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau.

After we finished at the school we went to her home…this was a place that all photogs would LOVE!!! lots of land…a nice old barn…a red, yes I said red, guest house…and I mean good red!! (big grin)

I think this is my fav shot! It just seems so natural and I was loving this old barn thing. There were sooo many animals…it was fun….they even had a little kitten that they are bottle feeding! how sweet!

If you look real real close you can see her little horse mini’s in the background. awwww!!

I love this one…even though we were fighting off mosquitos for dear life!! she seemed to lie still in the grass long enough for me to capture this wonderful pic!! I love the grass in her eye! I really do like it! seriously!

more later…not today…just later!

smiles…
