    Children's Sessions, Personal, Studio News

    November 15th, 2008

my husband and I have recently noticed that our 4 year old..Reid..is a pro at working the iphone…..  it is so cute! We caught him playing the ipod that is on our iphones! He has his fav songs that he goes directly to and jams out! ;) his cute little fingers flip thru the albums just so perfect….and QUICK! he also utilizes the camera…we have tons of pics of his face or his feet or a part of a chair or the floor or whatever he was facing at that moment! of course, we have games on our phones that he loves to play and has pretty much mastered!

kids these days are just so used to electronics…it is second nature to them! isn’t it just amazing how things evolve? I have no idea how to set up our wii….but my 9 year old ..Connor.. has NO problem!  Now if I can just teach them all how to use the coffee pot! wink wink!

here are some pics of a lovely little lady! This is her second session with me and she is growing like a weed! or should I say ‘growing like a pretty little flower’!

what a perfect little baby doll….

I want to say thanks to EVERYONE that watches my blog! So many people in the Lafayette area come to my blog all the time and it just makes me so happy to have that kind of support! But I also have some “out of towners” that frequent the blog….some peeps from all over! I think it is wonderful! Just remember….we always love to hear your comments…so come on…don’t be shy! Let us know what you think. be nice tho…;)

You guys keep watching….lots of stuff to come in 2009….we are moving our studio into “the barn”…we are the cover photographer for a local magazine L beginning with the January cover.    AND we have some other stuff up our sleeves! Just wait and see! We will be going to a trade show in January and will be bringing back some wonderful new ideas!

    smiles…

    Our little camping adventure!!~

    Personal

    November 3rd, 2008

Adventure is Right!!  That pretty much sums it up! Our little family…minus Ken (cuz he has better things to do) went camping this weekend. It was a place called the Dunes! We love to ride our 4 wheelers and razor..so this place was great! It was big sandy hills all around…right smack in the middle of the forest! Just sandy hill after sandy  hill. It was amazing! I have no idea why the sand is there but it makes for super riding!!

We camped out and did the marshmellow thing (roasting)…we slept in a tent…yes, I said a tent! I almost froze to death! But we made it thru and the kids had a blast! I got to finish a book that I am reading (Twilight…I am addicted thanks to KIM!!) and it was sooo nice to just relax! Except that I probably would have relaxed a little more if I was in a nice warm hotel room! haha!! just kidding jacob! ;)

Here are some pics from our trip!  Jake even surprised me with some pink googles! ain’t he the sweetest!

I know…the pics suck! Sorry…I wasn’t really trying to be a photog this weekend! Actually I think I was kind of trying NOT to be! ha! My little point and shoot camera was foggy for some of the pics! oh well.

Here are some pics from our little halloween get-together!! We had a big ole’ pot of chili…which was super awesome!! And we did a fun fun hay ride for the kiddos…um…and adults! ;)  There was lots of trick or treating and the kids had a blast!! I think the adults had fun too!

    Let’s play catch up!!~

    Children's Sessions, Studio News

    October 31st, 2008

Sorry for the non-blogging! But this is Christmas season and we are busy little elves right now!! I am having so much fun photographing all the lovely, cute, precious kiddos on our list! And we are planning the new year! And we are working on our new Barn Studio!! And this and that!!

Jessica is working on our very first e-newsletter…so if we have your email address WATCH OUT FOR THAT!! If you want to be added to the email list for updates and such..then just email Jessica at Jessica@MelissaAndriesPhotography.com! Tell her Melissa sent ya!! hee hee!

Here are some pics from sessions that have not been blogged yet! There are loads more to come! And if you notice there is a little something different on my posted images! Sorry about the big “M…do not copy” but I am sad to say that with this wonderfully digital age it must be way too tempting to steal pics from the blog.  I am seeing alot of download activity on several pics that I posted….sooooo that is why there is a big ole M across the faces! :(

look at this wonderful little face!! he posed for me during the entire session! I thought maybe he was a little model baby or something! He just smiled and smiled…really big smiles! Mommy said he smiles all the time!  I believe it!!

Talk about a FUN session! These guys were a blast! I was allowed to play with horses and kids and an old barn! This old barn was on their property which seemed perfect for the background! Horses….cowboy hats…big belt buckles…and kids….you just can’t beat that combination!! ;)

Need I say more??  Her face says it all.  What a little firecracker! I adore this little girl! I believe she will always know exactly what she wants and will be strong enough to make it happen!! You go girl!!

…and this little man is a true cowboy….thru and thru!! He just seemed so natural up there on that horse! Made me feel like such a weenie because I am scared of horses! They are just so big and tall and they snort on you! ugh!

….and then we have Miss Princess here! Those blue eyes were just absolutely lovely! And the blue dress just made them shine even more so! Way to go mom!!

This is little family was sweet sweet!! And you just can’t go wrong when everyone in the family is BEAUTIFUL!!

my fav pic of Miss Priss!! I have to tell this little story….when her and mommy came in to view their pics….she saw herself on the screen and her little chin started to quiver…..she started to cry a little! I just thought that was sooo cute! I know a crying baby is not considered cute….but the reason she was crying was just unusual! I though it was precious! Oh, by the way….just want to say hi to “sheepy” !!

….and now for another darlin’ little family! I just love love the couples with their first sweet baby! It is sooo cute to see them have everything just perfect. I actually remember when I was like that! Then I had another baby and another and another…by the fourth child they are lucky to get supper!! hee hee! just kidding! I really do feed my babies! They just are bigger now!

…could a family really LOOK more perfect?? I mean really!

the oh so sweet daddy and daughter pic! Why is that when you see a pic of a daddy and their daughter it is just the sweetest thing EVER?? It just makes your heart melt!!

….soo sweet and gorgeous! Mommy and baby are both little dolls!!

see what I mean! isn’t she flippin precious! She looks great in white!! ;)

Well…that is it for now! whew! I really do have more to come! Not quite sure when I will be able to blog again but I will as soon as I can! I promise! I will be doing more pics of the barn soon to show you guys what is going on there! I am getting very excited! We are looking for some new special items to go in the barn that will be used for sessions! FUN stuff!

anyways…have a happy halloween and be safe!

    smiles….Melissa ;)
